Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha / Hell’s Gate. Early morning you drive through the huge geothermal power station to visit Hell’s Gate National park. This small area has impressive tall lava walls and a beautiful landscape. Before lunch you go for a 1 hour boat ride at Elsamere, the former house of Joy and George Adamson. A lovely lunch buffet is set in the flowering compound. Get back to Crater Lake for a guided walk in the afternoon and sun downer on the crater rim. If you wish you can go for another night game drive after dinner. Crater Lake Lodge. Includes: (FB).
Day 2: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru. Just a 2 hour drive and you are in the park. Game drive until lunch to see the flamingos and pelicans. In the afternoon further game drive in search of black and white rhinos, leopards, buffalo`s, rare Rothschild giraffes and many more. Lake Nakuru Lodge. Includes: (FB).
Day 3: Baringo/Bogoria. After breakfast proceed to Lake Bogoria to view thousands of flamingos and the hot springs, viewing as well Zebra, Impala, Grants Gazelle, Kudu etc. Return to Lake Baringo in time for lunch. Boat trip in the afternoon to view many birds, crocodile and hippos. Meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Baringo/Nakuru. After breakfast proceed to Nakuru and check in at the Nakuru town lodge. Picnic lunch to be served at the lodge. Drive to the Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon for game viewing. Meals and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park. After an early breakfast, drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare mountains, then descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Arrive in time for lunch and short rest. Lake Nakuru is a shallow soda lake, renowned for its huge concentration of flamingos. It is also a rhino sanctuary. The afternoon game drive is included and you will return to your lodge as the sun sets! Overnight: Lion Hill lodge or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve. After breakfast climb the Western Escarpment of the Rift Valley and head towards Masai Mara. With its vast open plains and distinctive flat-topped acacia trees, no visit to Kenya would be complete without a visit here. Enjoying views picturesque Masai tribesmen herding cattle on the way, you arrive in time for lunch and a well deserved rest! Afternoon game drive includes searching for the Big Five, elephants, Buffalos, lions, Rhinos and leopards, before returning to your lodge as the sun sets! Overnight: Keekorok lodge or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve. Full day game drives includes visits to the Kenya/ Tanzania border post, Mara River and searching for a elusive cheetah and many more antelopes and birds. The more adventurous can take an optional hot air balloon ride to see the park from bird’s eye view. Overnight: Keekorok lodge or similar. Includes: (B), (L), (D). (HB).
DAY 8: Maasai Mara - Isebania - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast depart with picnic lunch to Isebania border where you will clear customs and board the Tanzanian Vehicles. Drive to your lodge situated in the Serengeti National Park with a game drive enroute. This enormous park supports every variety of animals imaginable - from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge based on full board.
Day 9: Full day in Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at your lodge. Morning and afternoon game drives. More than two million wildebeest, Thompson’s gazelle and zebra gather during the migration, attracting a great deal of attention from their predators such as lion, hyena, cheetah and leopard. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge based on full board.
Day 10: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater After breakfast drive to drive to Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue to your lodge situated on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater. The crater covers over 250 square kilometers (over 100 square miles) of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge full board basis.
Day 11: Full day in Ngorongoro Crater
Today you will descend 600m (0ver 2000 feet) to the floor of the crater for a full day crater tour with picnic lunch. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge full board basis.
Day 12: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park
Breakfast at your lodge. Drive to Lake Manyara famous for its prolific bird-life and other inhabitants such as hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions Lunch at your lodge. This afternoon you will drive down for a game drive. Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Hotel full board basis.
Day 13: Lake Manyara - Arusha – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast drive to Arusha to arrive in time for lunch at Impala Hotel. Transfer to Namanga border where you clear customs and meet your Kenya guides again. Board the Kenyan vehicles and drive to Amboseli National Park. Enjoy an evening game drive en-route to your lodge. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge full board basis.
Day 14: Amboseli National Park
A full day in Amboseli with game drives, all meals and overnight at your lodge. Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous beasts - lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle, hippo and wildebeest to name but a few. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge full board basis.
Day 15: Amboseli - Nairobi - Depart
Breakfast at your lodge. Transfer to Nairobi. Lunch will be served at Carnivore Restaurant. Free afternoon for shopping. Evening transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
