Welcome toCrater Forest Tented Camp

Crater Forest Camp is famous for the romantic sundowners or twilight dinners that you can enjoy while on your veranda with the astonishing landscape views of the dense forest. Watching  wildlife, such elephants, roaming through the forest, hear the lions roar and listen to the magical sounds of the tropical night is a possibility when staying at this camp. It will be an experience you will never forget. The setting is quite pleasant, the tents have an elegant rustic feel, some tents  have a nice view on a forested slope with animals (elephants).

The camp is approximately a 45- 60 min drive from the main tarmac road just outside the gates of the Ngorongoro Conservation area,the ride to the camp can be sometimes be extremely bumpy. The camp is built on a highland coffee plantation called Kirin Coffee Estate, at an altitude  of 1,800 meters above sea-level, the areas occupied by the camp were previously cultivated fields directly bordering Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area (NCAA).Due to the high altitude it can be very cold at the camp, particularly  in the early morning, in the evening and  at night, having warm clothing handy is advisable.
