Located close to the village of Nungi on the northern tip of Zanzibar, The Zanzibari hotel is set on the quieter eastern side of the peninsular, this small lodge may now be dwarfed by the enormous Essque Zalu Zanzibar to one side, but still retains a pleasantly low key atmosphere once inside.

The large main building at Zanzibar hotel has  a bar in the form of a sailing boat. The pool is set within pleasant gardens and the beachfront is spacious.

The  hotel features  only 10 rooms – each room has a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean. There are  2 suite rooms that  are substantial two storey affairs, with their own private beachfront area. The remaining rooms are bizarrely contained within a modern apartment building, which does rather take the edge of the place.

The Zanzibari Hotelis definitely one of the better places to stay in this area and price range.It is a relatively pleasant and reliable little place.
